The Warlord Named Date Masamune
Date Masamune, known as Dokuganryu, means one-eyed dragon. He was among the regional rulers during the country’s Azuchi Momoyama era. This went through the early period of Edo.
Masamune was not only considered a fine warrior, but was also said to be a good tactician. Additionally, he was said to be quite aggressive and fairly ambitious. Because of this attitude, some defeats that he faced may have been caused by his recklessness.
Date Masamune was known as the Dokuganryu which means One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu. He was a ruler during Azuchi Momoyama period through early Edo period. Heir to a lineage of known Daimyo in the region of Tohoku, he went on to found the modern-day city of Sendai. He was indeed an outstanding tactician.
